3 miles walking

The wonderful percent of body fat... UGGGG
This is my official weigh in on my scale....

Oh and big news. I joined weight watchers last night. It was time. I have been putting in all these miles and I am not losing weight so I needed that push. Also I know that the reason I am not able to "run" that far is also because I have all this extra weight I have. So 60 pounds is my goal sounds like A LOT however I weighed in @ 189.8 pounds. So yeah 60 pounds.
And these are my official before pics.
My best girlfriend has had MUCH success with the program and is down 20 pounds. I am hoping this will be "quick" way to jump start my ass saying goodbye party.

I LOVED WW. Unfortunately the plan didn't work for me. I followed the points system and that system is based on cutting fat. I NEVER used all my points in a day but ate 3 or 4 of those chocolate fudge bars in one sitting as they are only 1 point each. Alas, also something like 100 grams of sugar so the weight stayed on. I do the best with whole foods mostly raw ones. Now that the garden is coming in I am in heaven.

I don't care what the scales says you look TONS thinner than the first pictures you posted. You have really toned up and are looking really good! Good going! And remember you were a couch potato so you are putting on muscle which is also going to make the scales go down more slowly.

I agree...muscle weighs more. We all know this, but it is so true. After 2 weeks of hiking with a 45 pound pack on and eating rehydrated camp food rations I weighed in at only 2 pounds less than when I left, yet my body is SOOOO toned!!! I love it. My arms have always been a bit flabby, but they are so defined now. Forget the scales and go by how your clothes fit.

Also, 60 pounds is doable, but give yourself enough time. Last June I weighed in at 185 (I'm 5'5") and now I am 142. I really didn't change much of the way I ate, but made exercise (and plenty of rest and water) a priority. I'd like to get down another 10-15 pounds, but I'm on the slow method. The point is to make changes in your lifestyle that are for life...like making physical activity a priority (like you're doing!).
